This Privacy Policy
discloses the privacy practices for GroupESQ.
Legally
Binding Contract: Please read this privacy policy carefully. Your use
of this website constitutes your agreement to the terms contained herein. If
you do not agree to these terms, you must immediately stop using our service
and accessing our website.
Modifications
to the Privacy Policy: GroupESQ reserves the right at our sole discretion
to change, modify, add, or delete portions of the Privacy Policy and/or Terms
of Use at any time. When our Privacy Policy is changed, we note the date of
the last modification at the top of the page and the nature of the modification.
Such changes shall become effective immediately upon posting. If you use our
service or our website after any such changes to the Privacy Policy are posted,
it means you have accepted all changes to the Privacy Policy.
Types of
Information We Collect
GroupESQ collects two types of information about our Users: Personally Identifiable
Information and Non-Personally Identifiable Information.
(1) Personally
Identifiable Information (PII): PII is information that you voluntarily
provide by creating an account, placing an order or engaging in some other voluntary
activity on our website. This would include, but not be limited to, uploading
your name, email address, city, credit card information, password, forum comments
and feedback. We use your PII to provide products and services to you, enhance
the operation of our website, analyze our website use, engage in marketing,
resolve disputes, contact you, enforce our agreements with you , comply with
applicable law and cooperate with law enforcement activities.
(2) Non-Personally
Identifiable Information (NPII): NPII is information that does not
identify a specific user. This type of information may include the URL of the
website you visited before our website, the URL of the website you visit after
our website, the type of browser you are using and your Internet Protocol (“IP”)
address. We and our authorized Third Party Service Providers may automatically
collect this information when you visit our website through the use of Cookies,
pixel tags and other similar features. We use NPII to analyze our website traffic,
administer our website, analyze trends, gather demographic information, comply
with applicable law, and cooperate with law enforcement activities. We may also
share this information with our authorized Third Party Service Providers and
Advertisers to measure the overall effectiveness of our online advertising,
content, and programming.
Release
of Personally Identifiable Information
We will never sell or rent your PII to third parties. We will not share your
PII with other parties except as provided below.
(1) When
You Make a Purchase: When you purchase a product or service from one
of the companies on GroupESQ, and the deal goes through successfully, we send
your name and email address to the company so that they can communicate directly
with you with respect to your transaction. If the deal does not go through,
then we do not send any of your information to anyone.
We are not liable
for any action taken by any of the companies from whom you purchase any product
or service with respect to the use of your PII. We have no control or responsibility
over any actions taken by these companies. If you do not your PII to be sent
to a company, you cannot make a purchase from them.
(2) We
may share your information with Authorized Third Party Service Providers:
We may use third party service providers to provide additional services to our
users. For example, we may hire a third party service provider to distribute
our newsletter, provide marketing assistance, process credit card payments,
trouble shoot problems and provide customer service. The use of your PII by
such parties is governed by the privacy policies of such parties and is not
subject to our control. We are therefore not liable for actions taken by any
third party service provider with respect to PII.
(3) We
may share your information in a Business Transfer: In the event of
a merger or acquisition, your PII would be transferred along with the other
assets of our business. If this occurs, the successor company would acquire
your PII. Your PII would remain subject to this Privacy Policy.
(4) We
may share your information for our Protection and the Protection of Others:
We may also disclose your PII when we believe release is appropriate
to comply with the law or a court order; enforce or apply this Privacy Policy,
our Website Terms of Use or other agreements; or protect the rights, property
or safety of the Website, its Users or others.
Release
of Non-Personally Identifiable Information
We may share NPII with third parties. For example, we may share aggregated
demographic information (which does not include any Personally Identifiable
Information) with advertisers.
We also use Third
Party Service Providers to track and analyze website usage to administer our
website. We may publish this information for promotional purposes. Note that
none of this information is Personally Identifiable Information, only summaries
of the activities of our Users as a whole. Such data is collected on our behalf,
and is owned and used by us.
Receipt
of Emails
Your receipt of emails from us is voluntary. You can subscribe to deal alerts
and we will email you the details of any new deal in your geographic area. You
can unsubscribe at any time by sending us an email at info@groupesq.com. When
you make a purchase you will automatically receive emails from us with respect
to the status of your purchase. You cannot unsubscribe from these emails. Once
your purchase is over, these emails cease.
Security
of Information
(1) Credit Card Information: Your credit card number is transmitted
by Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology (http://www.thawte.com) to ensure that
it is safe during transmission. While a deal is pending, your credit card information
is stored on our server using a 128 bit encryption algorithm. Your credit card
information is not stored on our server after your deal closes.
GroupESQ is a PayPal
verified site and all credit card transactions are handle by PayPal. (http://www.paypal.com)
Unfortunately,
no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
As a result, while we employ commercially reasonable security measures to protect
data and seek to partner with companies which do the same, we cannot guarantee
the security of any information transmitted to or from the Website, and are
not responsible for the actions of any third parties that may receive any such
information.
(2) Your
Personally Identifiable Information: You access your account via your
email address and your password. Your password is encrypted using a 128 bit
algorithm.
Data Tracking
Cookies: To customize your experience, we store cookies on
your computer. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on a your computer
which contains information about you. Cookies also allow us to collect Non-Personally
Identifiable Information from you, like which pages you visited and what links
you clicked on. Use of this information helps us to create a more user-friendly
experience for all visitors. In addition, we may use Third Party Advertising
Companies to display advertisements on our Website. As part of their service,
they may place separate cookies on your computer. We have no access to or control
over these cookies. This Privacy Policy covers the use of cookies by our Website
only and does not cover the use of cookies by any Advertiser. Most browsers
automatically accept cookies, but you may be able to modify your browser settings
to decline cookies. Please note that if you decline or delete these cookies,
some parts of the Website may not work properly.
Other Tracking
Devices: We may use other industry standard technologies like pixel
tags and web beacons to track your use of our website and emails or we may allow
our Third Party Service Providers to use these devices on our behalf. Pixel
tags and web beacons are tiny graphic images placed on certain pages on our
website, or in our emails that allow us to determine whether you have performed
a specific action. These tracking devices allow us to measure and improve our
understanding of visitor traffic and behavior on our website, as well as give
us a way to measure our performance.
